About the Author
Carlo Collodi was born in Florence in 1826. He was a successful author and translator. He published several novels and satirical works as well as popular translations of many traditional fairy tales. Robert Ingpen is a world-renowned artist and author who has designed, illustrated and written more than 100 books. In 1986 he was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal for his contribution to children’s literature.
